Not sure where to ask

I am not sure this is the correct place to ask. I know there is a transportation thread for WDW, but I was wondering what is the best most economical way to travel from WDW to Universal. My DS and his new wife will be visiting with us in a couple of weeks. They really want to spend a day at Universal, but are not covered driving the rental car/van that we are taking. It is really expensive to add additional drivers that are not your spouse to the rental.

I thought maybe someone here could help.

Thanks in advance!

So you'll have a rental but they are not listed as an authorized driver? Are you not going to Universal? Only them?

I would say just tell them to take a cab...that's the quickest and easiest way.

Yes that is correct. We are not going. They want to spend the day there, but the rest of us are not, and no they are not listed as authorized drivers, because of the additional cost of the rental. DH and myself will be doing all of the driving. If we could add them for just a couple of days, we would certainly do that, but I don't think that is available.

I was thinking a cab also. Is there a certain cab company that anyone would recommend or knows of?

if they need park tickets for UO, they could use Dreams Unlimited.
if you buy their park tickets, you can also use their scheduled free transportation to UO from their wdw resort.

or they could use the mears shuttle for $19 rt pp + gratuity from their wdw hotel to UO. sign up with concierge in their hotel lobby.

or a cab would be fine too.

if they go from disney, have the bellcap call one of the reputable cabs for them

Oh good...I was hoping I got what you meant. ;)

The ticket deal with transportation Macraven mentioned would be the best deal but if they already have their tickets, any cab should be fine.
