Not sure what to do?

What would you do?
Getting to Orlando via airplane early before check -in and we want to make the most of the day.
Should I rent a car or take Disney Express or cab? I have 4 kids , my ds and myself so usually cabs do not fit all of us.
If I rent a car I wouldn't need it again until we need to leave Wdw 6 days later. We will be spending 1 day in Orlando and I had thought of renting a car then.
Any ideas?

I'd opt for the ME service - just make sure you have what you need for the day in your carny ons. You can check in (even if your room isn't ready), leave your carry ons with Bell Services and take resort transportation to one of the parks.

If you rent a car at the airport, you have to wait for your luggage, transport it to the rental car and you have to stand in line to get the car. With 4 kids, I'd rather have someone else deal with the luggage if at all possible.

I don't think you will get there much faster with the car than with ME. If you do rent the car, you can drop it off at WDW if you don't plan to use it afterwards - National & Alamo have locations on site (Car Care Center and at the Dolphin) and some of the other majors have locations at the Downtown Disney Resorts.

Either way, you can still rent a car for one or two days after you arrive if you need to do so. But check out the weekly prices vs the one day prices - it may change your mind about only renting a car for one day.

I would say do the ME as well....by the time you collect all your luggage, hike to the rental car counter, wait in the inevitable line there, hike out to the garage and load everything up and make the drive to WDW you will not likely save any time over taking DME....you can skip the luggage carousel altogether, head straight to the check in desk and have a nice ride to WDW...not to mention the savings over a rental car.

Then if you want to rent later in your stay you can rent from either Alamo at the car care center, National at the Dolphin or Dollar at the Grosvenor (across the street from the DTD Marketplace bus stop).

Anyone know where in the schedule would the Yacht and Beach Club. be.
Is it one of the last hotels in line to be dropped off?
