Not sure if image stabilization is a need at disney?

Since I'm on a playbook I can't see exif. Did the shutter time double to keep the exposure constant and was it shot handheld? Maybe hand shake blur or if on tripod then the f/4 shot is noisier taking details away.

Big difference... BUT...

Are those regular full images, or are they 100% crops?
If those are the regular images, the difference is HUGE.

If those are 100% crops, then those are real differences, but you're never going to notice them when viewing at regular sizes.

The difference will start to be an issue with noise reduction. The sharper the details the farther you can push NR before things turn to mush.

Granted we're still talking about L series quality even with the softer lens so I think it has to be kept in perspective. I've got the 24-104 f/4 L which is widely regarded as the softest L series zoom. And it's still an amazingly sharp zoom lens when compared to Canon mid and entry level lenses as well as to third party zooms. But if you put it next to the 24-70 f/2.8 ii it looks like poo.
