Not sure I understand fast passes at DLP.

We make great use of fast passes at Disneyland and WDW, so I'm glad to see that they have them at DLP. So I'm confused when posters on this board talk about buying fast passes on ebay. How does that work? Can you get free ones at the park? :upsidedow

Hi,

Yes - for the most part, fastpasses are exactly the same in DLRP as in DL or WDW.

The only difference is, it's possibly to effectively buy an extra park ticket (or set of) from certain well known auction websites. If you were to buy those, then you could put them into the fastpass machine to get another fastpass - exactly the same as with your normal park ticket (or in fact any old park tickets from previous trips).

The fastpasses you can buy from ebay are called life fastpasses with no expiry date set on them. They are given out by cm's to people when a ride breaks down or to special guests or DLH guests.

There are quite a lot on ebay though so these are most likely one the cms are selling for profit themselves, some are genuine though

I bought some from the uk and they worked fine for me and were very handy when we went

we have some of the lifetimes ones - four, I think - so with our park tickets, and the daily fastpass (one per guest) given to disney hotel guests, it was entirely possible for the two of us to hold eight fast passes at any one time.

We never did - it just wasn't possible to get through them all!

Best used on very very popular rides - stuff all the fastpasses in, get at least three rides each, just go round and round and round then that's that done in about a quarter of the time it would take to q up. Eg Tower of Terror - I queued for the fastpass machines last time, and got three sets of fastpasses out....we went and had a coffee, then rode ToT three times in succession, then that was that!

We barely had to use them on weekdays - more useful on weekends, when park is busier. (obvious point, sorry)
