Not sure how to plan...

we're headed to wdw oct 8-15, i'm wondering when the extra magic hours are available. i want to plan character breakfasts/dinners but i also want to be able to use the extra magic hrs. i know most of the character meals you can make ps 60-90 days out, but i want to coordinate that with the extra hrs. am i planning too much? or do i make my ps and hope the extra hrs are at that particular park? is it necessary in oct to take advantage of the extra hrs or is ps more important? the kids are really looking forward to the character meals...please help!

I was just planning my trip and wondering the same thing. It looks like you can make PS before you know when the EMH are. If you look at the history, though, it seems like certain parks have the either am or pm EMH on the same days.

I went ahead and planned where I wanted to be. We will be going (hopefully) to three character meals. Not one day I planned coordinated with EMH. On the positive side, maybe that means the parks I picked will be less crowded...

Good luck. I guess you could make PS when they became available and make changes later if necessary.
