Not sure about MK on Dec 2......

Dec. 2 is our first full day there. And my DD 11th birthday. Doesn't it make sense to go to MK first? But it sounds as though the crowds will be bad. We are only there till the 5th. Any suggestions?

Honestly I don't think crowds will be THAT bad, especially during the earlier parts of the day before the taping. If you are going to a park on the 5th (not clear on exaclty what you meant by 'there till the 5th') you could put it off till then, but you'll be leaving at 6 pm anyway because it's an MVMCP night.

I agree. I'd stay away from MK on the 2nd if you're worried about crowds because of the parade taping.

Generally if you stay away from the Main Street area, the crowds aren't that bad when we have been there on taping days. To get down Main Street, it is easier to go through the stores and not the mass of people.

I'll be there the same dates as you! We arrive on the 1st and leave on the 5th. We'll be doing MVMCP on the 1st and since we have ressies for dinner at CRT on the 2nd we'll definitely be going to the MK on the 2nd. That plus it's my nieces (and us adults) favorite park, so we'll be there no matter what the crowds are like. From what I've read the crowds are bad around Main St, but once you get passed that the park is smooth sailing. Someone gave me the idea about getting on the train to bypass Main St. But a friend has warned me that the train may not stop at Main St because they might have the cameras set up on the platform.

Have a great trip and maybe we'll pass in the crowd!
