But I booked a breakfast at Trails end. I looked at the menu and thought we would like it. How long should I allow the bus to take us from parking lot to the end? Do the busses run often?

I’d arrive at least 30-45 minutes early just to be safe but yes they run often.

Yes there are 3 different bus line through the Fort. Purple, Yellow, and Orange. The good thing for the OP is that although they run through different parts of the Fort, they all start and end at the same points.

The OP can drive to the Fort entrance off Vista Blvd, give your name to the guard for your ADR, he'll tell you to park and walk to the Outpost Bus Depot which is on the far side of the main parking lot. Take the first PYO bus that comes along and ride it down to the Settlement Bus Depot which is down where Trails End, the lake and boat docks, and Hoop Dee Doo Review are. Get off and walk down toward the lake and the TE checkin podium will be outside the building on your left.

Just do it all in reverse to get back to your car.

This is key - don't get confused by the color system. All three lines start where you park your car and end just behind where you will have your breakfast. Just jump on the first internal bus you find and ride. It can take 10-15 minutes to get from one end to the other (even a bit more if you end up with multiple scooter/wheelchair loads), but it should be pretty painless.

Depending on the timing of your breakfast, consider leaving yourself some extra time before or after to check out the Tri-Circle D Ranch, the Trading Post, and a few of the other sites in the Settlement area.
