DD and I have been to WDW 6 times in the last 2 years. We always make ADRs including CRT. Usually we do not plan 6 months ahead. The new time frame for ADRs is not a good thing for us. Does anyone else feel the same way?

I so agree - 6 months is excessive IMHO. I didn't even plan our trip that far out, I got the idea in August for a December trip. I think maybe 30 days would be more appropriate.

I don't love it either... although I'm glad it isn't 30 days, they'd be slammed every single day. I think 120 would have been good... 180 certainly rewards the advance planners.

Just something new to get used to, I guess.

As a person who loves to plan the 180 days out is very nice, though I can see where people think it excessive. I think that 120 days might be a little bit more reasonable...but I don't think that the places will book up that fast. Personally I was happy when I called the other week for our April trip and didn't have to play the fastest finger for CRT reservations.

I almost agree, it is far in advance and I was worried that places would book fast. But as the last poster pointed out, it's nice not to race to the phone, speed dial and do it at 7am sharp!
As soon as we start thinking about going, we're already checking out menus and reviews. I like that I can call now and get it over with instead figuring out my 90 days and waiting what seems like forever. :earboy2:

As long as I can still get the ADR's I want at about 90 days out I wont mind. My DH's job generally doesn't let us plan quite that far in advance, I think 180 days is a bit excessive. However I am glad that they now have the EMH's in up more in advance than they used to be, I think my last visit they didn't have them officially posted until about a month before!!!

What I don't like about it is that 180 is right around or even before they release the hours for the parks and the EMH days, so it makes it very difficult to know what restaurants you want to go to if you can't figure out which park you're going to be at!! :confused3

But, that being said, I love Disney! And I can't wait for our next trip!!

I think it's a little excessive too. At least, for our situation. Living an hour away, we don't plan our trips to WDW that far in advance. We do plan some of our trips that far out, but not to WDW. We've been so many times that we now plan our trips around the places we choose to dine. If the restaurants we want are all booked up, we will just go somewhere else. I personally liked 90 days out.

I would have no problem with the 180 days as long as they release specials on the rooms first. You have to have the room first so it kinda makes sense to me. :cool1:

I just called at 25 days out and got all the ADR's I wanted at all the times I wanted, and some meals were an ADR for 13! Of course this is for January, for a slower time of year. I was worried I wouldn't get what I want. I think if you're flexible about times and days, you should be able to get what you want even closer to your time frame.
