Belinda- although I already gave you the info, thought I'd go ahead and post here that we are officially checking out on 6/5. Thought DH was inboard for the extra night all the way until I booked!
That's ok - it'll just be a good reason to do a long trip in Oct 2012!!!!!

:welcome: Sandy61 :welcome: to the swap..When it gets closer to your trip you will have to swap info with swapper before and after you.

Thank you for adding my name. :) How do we swap info with each other?

Send a PM to madvannasmom giving her the name on the reservation, confirmation # and arrival date and kitkat324 and get the same info because they arrive until 6/17 so a face to face swap would be out of the question. When you take the fridge to luggage services with the above info on it you would get a claim ticket and leave it in an envelope for kitkat324. If you have any other questions please ask.

59 days! I'm excited it's less than 2 months until I see the Not So Scary fridge again!

Just spoke to fly4free2 (who happens to be my Mom). She picked up the fridge with no problem. She said the fridge was being storage in a outdoor storage box (she thought maybe a dozen fridges could be stored in these). It appears to be waterproof but the previous swapper received the fridge box soaking wet. Perhaps someone forgot to defrost it before putting it into the box. :confused3

It doesn't hurt to have a reminder - please be sure to defrost the fridge before returning it to luggage services!! Thank you.

Now here's the good news! Because she heard of the condition of the box in advance, fly4free2 was able to bring a brand new box for it! She will decorate it with some stickers, but could only find small ones on short notice. If any future swaps can get their hands on large stickers it can help in easily identifying the box.

She confirmed that the fridge, coffee maker and toaster are all in excellent shape and good working order! There are some disinfecting wipes and plenty of coffee filters. There were also a few squares of dish sponges with dried dish soap in it left with the fridge - these are key for cleaning the coffee pot! I forgot to ask if there was a roll of tape to reseal the box. I will update to confirm but perhaps the next swapper can plan to bring a roll to leave please!

Fly4free2 took pictures of how all items are stored in the fridge and will take pics of the new box. I will post those upon her return.

Good swappers, like llovasco who informed fly4free2 of the box's condition and those who bring supplies (wipes, dish soap, tape, coffee filters) to keep our items clean and in working order, are so important to maintaining a good swap.

And a big thank you to accountingbabe08 for generously donating the fridge and managing this swap. You have earned your Lime Green Mickey Ears!

Thank you it is sincerely my pleasure to have donated and manage this swap for the last year and a half

Here's a pic of the where the fridges are being stored now.

(don't know why it's upside down - i've rotated it twice before uploading.

Oh, and this is my 3000th post!

That is where I found the fridge and Disneydaz's fridge ...Congrats on your 3000th post

Thanks for that info. I didn't know they were be stored outside. Where are these storage areas? TIA

Hi Dizneydaz,

The luggage props where the fridges are stored is in the driveway to the right of luggage services....I think that is where our fridges were all of that time they were gone. I will see if fly4free2 can take a scouting trip for us and take a picture of it for us. Mrs D can you ask your mom for more pictures please.

That would be great! I think you're right and they have been there all along. I don't think anyone used my fridge that whole time it was missing. The last swapper that was supposed to get it's name was still on it and the coffee maker and toaster were still inside.

The good news is that it looks like they are keeping them longer than the 2 weeks previously. I'll let my swappers know to ask them to check in the outside storage as well as inside.;)

Cool I'm glad we are both up and running again

fly4free2 just called and had some sad news. The carafe coffee pot broke, She was washing it in the sink and bumped it and the bottom fell out!

I told her to toss the carafe and put the coffeemaker back in the box. I think a generic 12 cup carafe would work, perhaps the next swapper (or the one after) could bring a carafe with?

Here's a pic of how the fridge is packed to fit all items inside and shows the coffeemaker if that helps in getting a new carafe.

And here's the outside of the box.

Now, back to where it was stored. This cart is out in the circular drive in front to the resort/lobby/luggage services area. I've asked for more pics of the location.

Thanks I hope the next swappers see this. I will sned them a PM later today to make sure they know. Thanks you Mrs D and fly4free2 for all the helpful info

Just checking in to make sure the swap was still going smoothly, thanks again belinda for everything.
I think I am the "previous swapper" that an above post refers to as not defrosting the fridge. Just to let you know, I did defrost it completely overnight and cleaned and dried it the morning we left. I don't know how the box got wet, but I don't think it was a defrosting issue. I left the sponges inside, and was actually considering trying to leave an extra case of water, but was afraid it would get tossed. We ended up giving that to our neighbors:)
Also just wanted to say that outdoor "luggage train" that holds the fridge is impossible to miss. If you are at luggage services, just turn around, it is directly behind you. I think it is really helpful that the swappers know where to find the fridge, cause it took us several hours to get it from them the first night.
Thank you so much again, we really enjoyed having your fridge!!
