we are booked into the hawthorn suites in the international drive area. and after getting the new thomas cook broshure to look at ive discoverd im not staying whare i thought i was

there is one about 1 block away from i drive and another that seams quite a distance away, so i went to check yesterday and we are at the further one away. i dont actually know how far it is from i dirve but looking on google earth it seams quite a distance, and i dont even know if its walking distance we diddnt hire a car......

How have you booked? If its with a tour op ring them and ask how much to change.
We book all seperate that way we can change right up to going for nothing(or a nominal fee depanding on where we book)

I have a really good map that shows both. I'm guessing from your decscription you have the one that is up past the convention centre, located on Westwood Blvd. Possibly not the best location but 3 resturants that I can see and a few shops near by and an I-ride stop about 200 mtrs away. You will be able to get around easily on the I-ride trolley. Hope that helps.

that does help, having never been its rather daunting and im doing all the planning on my own, my dh is of no help what so ever, this is his usual hell go and love it, but will have not much to do with it. and yes it is the b'vard one. looking at goggle earth its looks rather isolated but knowing there are a few things around esp for our first night is good to know, i appreciate you looking for me

paying to change isnt really an option we cant really afford this holiday and if we ever go again it will be a few years away i dont have much to pay now but the cash flow is terrible right now.


anyway regardless im still excited only 134 days now lol

You'll have a fantastic time, wherever you stay. It's hard not to!! It can be done on a budget. You can find some great tips on here. Are you just adults or any kids? Have you already got your park tickets?

If its the Hawthorn suites near Seaworld, we stayed there in 2003. Although we had a car, there was definately a Bennigans within walking distance and maybe even a McDonalds. I also remember that there was a garage with a minimart which we walked to for snacks & newspapers. Check out Hawthorn Suites website, they are a fairly big chain & this will probably have a bit more up to date info.
Just had a look and the site does have details of all the things nearby.
