Not really a DLP question but a airport check in question!

Did any of you read that story on facebook/twitter about the woman that did an online check in with Ryanair and didn't print out her boarding pass so got charged 60 euros each person for them printing out a boarding pass?!

I am flying with easyjet on the 18th and was planning on doing an online check in but as I have never done it before, I am no scared

Has anyone ever done with with easyjet? Any tips etc? Should I just go and check in the old fashioned way or get with the times?

I always check in online, and have done with Ryanair, it's easy.
I print out all the documentation that you're told to print, stick it in a folder and take it with me, never had a problem.

Don't forget that you need to check in for both outward and inward journeys before you go

I should add that I'm an organisational freak when I go away, I have my folder and inside I have all the documents I need seperated into envelopes and in the order I need them.
So it would probably be:
Envelope 1 - Airport car parking or taxi confirmation emails
Envelope 2 - Flight confirmation emails, passports and outbound check in documentation
Envelope 3 - Hotel confirmation
Envelope 4 - Inbound check in
Envelope 5 - Travel insurance and EHIC
etc.etc. and as I use an envelope it goes to the back of the file.

Using Easyjet for first time when we go on 2-6 Oct. Checked -in online yesterday. Incredibly simple, IMO Easyjet has the most user friendly website out there. Your boarding passes include some useful info regarding hand baggage, time gate closes etc, so well worth doing.

And Jill, you sound just like me! I have a 'travel folder' already which has been with me to DLP before I shall get checking in and printing this afternoon. Isn't it funny that you can check in online up to 30 days before you go??

So is there a separate desk for people who are already checked in for bag dropping? If so, does that mean your bags are more likely to go missing??

I always fly with Easyjet to CDG now, and I always check in online. Nothing to it, just print out your boarding cards and take them with you .

stop worrying woman - they still put all the regular ID strips on your bags when you drop them off instead of doing all your check-in at the airport, its just the same process only much quicker.

glad I read this as my daughter told me there was no point booking in online as we had hold luggage. Just printed out our boarding passes and she will be getting a "I don't know why I even ask you things" lecture. LOL!!!!

You don't have bag drop lines at CDG which is why it's important to get there early...something to think about for your flight home

Check the airport website for details, there isn't at Bristol, with both Easyjet and Ryanair there, we've had to join the queue with everyone else, not a problem for us as I always insist on being excessively early too, so I'm usually first in the queue. lol
