so i know this isnt really a disney restaurants question but i didnt know which board to put it on and its technically on disney property so........

there's a mcdonalds on the intersection of osceola parkway and west buena vista drive (near the all stars). ive heard that the McDs on property was getting refurbed, is it still open? does anyone know how long it'll be til its finished? is it walkable from all star music?

I was there last summer so I don't know about the refurb but is it walkable, well if your were walking to it, eating, and then walking back you could do it if you love walking. But if your thinking running over there, get the food, and bring it back I wouldn't probably do it. We were at ASMovies and it is SO easy to jump in your car and drive to it, that would be my suggestion. To me the parking lots aren't one giant lot like you see at some resorts. It is like each section has its own parking lot wrapped around part of it. So for me to walk from Toy Story to the car was a short hop and a skip and then I drove to McDonals. Hope this helps and have a great time.:thumbsup2

Or just skip McDonalds b/c you can get that anywhere and enjoy real food instead.......:rolleyes1

Informative post! I must take notes!!! Bravo!

:rotfl:Oh, but that's only available if you purchased the Platinum plan, right?:rotfl:

Last time I was at Disney, there was a McDonald's at Downtown Disney, too. So if you really must have McDonald's fries, you could go there via Disney transportation :)

The McDonald's near the All-Stars is walkable from there. There is a sidewalk and a light to cross the road. Be careful and only cross when the light tells you to as it's a busy road with Disney buses and lots of cars.

I haven't heard about this McDonald's being closed at all but if it were, you'd be able to see it immediately when you arrived at the All Stars since you have to go by it to get in and out of the resort.

I totally agree with you having to eat your meal at the McDonald's and not bring it back. Unless you like cold fries and burgers. You can walk it but it's about ten minutes each way.
