After looking into it I think we might stay at the Howard Johnson. Can anybody tell me if you get any 'Disney' perks there or no? toon town morning madness? EE? ANYTHING? ... lol

You will only get onsite perks if you book a Disney Hotel room or some other perks when you book (Disney travel company and some 3rd party) room and ticket packages.

Buy your multi-day Parkhoppers on-line on the Disney website and you will receive an Early Entry day. (currently EE at Disneyland on Tues, Thurs, Sat & Sun)

We stayed at Hojo one year and my mom wanted all the perks, so she booked through Walt Disney Travel Company. We got the lanyards, pins, and tix w/ 1 EE. It really isn't worth it. If you want perks, better to go through Costco Travel. Or do without the perks (other than one EE w/ your parkhopper) and book everything yourself.

If you book through AAA, you should get the preferred seating at DCA, the Toontown Morning celebration and lanyards/pins/luggage tags. I THINK they also do the Disney Visa promotion through AAA as well, which I THINK adds a backpack and one preferred parade viewing. However the Disney Visa package doesn't always mesh... I wasn't able to book it in conjunction with the 25% off package for summer. But I still got the other AAA perks mentioned.

Here is a blog from a few months ago about some of the on site "adventures" you can take advantage of.

The power walk in DCA before opening sounds fun, but I bet that's on hold for the construction. Just guessing. :confused3

On site hotels also let you have a MM each day it is offered during your stay. People staying off site can get one MM with their 3 or more day parkhopper.

We have found better prices booking the hotel alone instead of as a package (back when we bought tickets as opposed to APs). Now that we have APs, a package isn't an option anyway.

Okay, I checked it out, and did a false booking for random September weekdays at the HoJo for a family of 2 adults, 2 kids with 4 day parkhoppers.

It looks like you get ART passes and Toontown Madness, but no other perks... although I'm GUESSING that by booking through AAA you'd still get the lanyard/pin/luggage tags too.

Out of curiosity, I looked up this same package on the Disney website, and it offered the exact same package (including 'perks'!) for $30 more.

I booked a very similar package through Costco, , but Friday through Tuesday morning, 5day hoppers, came with lanyards, 1 day of magic morning, prefeered seating and a high end character meal with tip and taxes included aka standard Costco package. We are staying at the Hilton and the whole package was $1300, with Art for four included. I would recommend at least checking Costco, as the price seemed exactly the same as through Disney, but with the extra perks.
