So let's continue...day 3...
After one fish two fish, everyone is somewhat wet, we decide to do Ripsaw Falls. Now, keep in mind last year we did it and the DS (who is now 9) cried his eyes out when it was over. So I had flashbacks in my mind when he wanted to do it. No wait for express (must have been a slow day), get in on ride and take off...DS is happy and content UNTIL the big fall and then he looks at me afterwards and says...CAN WE DO THAT AGAIN? Meanwhile I am soaked all the way to my underwear..and to top it off, the DD was at the top and paid 25 cents to hose us down even more.
Onto Jurrasic Park and both kids wanted to do that Pyerdon Flyers...NO express line. Wait time was 45 min and the attendant said it was more like 30 min. She was correct, 30 min (which we were not used to) and we were on the ride that lasted 1 min at the most. Both kids enjoyed, but to me that need to do an express line for that ride. Then onto Dueling Dragons..(keep in mind we are all over the park by now...LOL)
This is an excellent ride and all I can do is comment that everyone needs to ride both dragons.
After Jurrasic Park it is onto Hollywood Blvd where we do Twister, Terminator and Jimmy Newtron again. It is now 4:00 pm and I have probably forgotten some of the other rides we have done. We are off to the outlet stores in Orlando after we hit the hotel for a break at the club level.
OH AND KEEP IN MIND, I am still lugging this HUGE stuffed animal around the park and hopefully can download a pic.
Then it will be day 4 and more to come......

Great trippie Dave! I wish you had your pictures on it! We may have seen you. We were in the parks from 6/21-6/27.

Can't wait for more Dave!!

Can;t believe you park hopped carrying that huge stuffed animal :lmao: :lmao:

Sorry everyone for not updating, been very busy with work and tennis. Will it ever stop?:confused3

Alison: Yes we may have seen you and your family. We were there from 6/24 - 6/28. Dang, I would have said hello, for sure! I know we were in the same hotel.

Sorry the pics are still on my phone and camera and as soon as I can, will download, please bear with me.

Also the large stuffed toy made it back to the hotel. It was a great boat ride also...LOL...my DS was sitting next to it on a "packed" boat back to the PBH. I wish I had a pic of that....LOL...

Day 4

It is 5:15 am and in the next hour I need to get online to get boarding passes for Southwest. Now, of course the club level is closed and as you may remember reading earlier, we didn't bring my laptop.....So off to the bathroom I go with cell phone and internet on it. Log onto the website and it is too early, so I sit and read the USA Today waiting...reading...waiting...reading...6:15 on the nose I get onto the website and get A19,20,21,22...was I excited. I almost (key word, almost) woke the family to tell them.
So it is now 6:30 and I am truly bored. So I get out and walk to the park and back and walk around the Hard Rock. Isn't amazing how many joggers there are in the morning? 9:00 am and the family is finally up and we eat at the club level and hit Islands of Adventure.
We start the "circle" of the park and do almost every ride. In fact I will never go without, either staying at a Universal hotel or buying an express pass. Here is why: We did MIB 3 times in a row without waiting, Spiderman 2 times and the Hulk 4 (my DD loves that ride now, she was first terrified when she saw it, but once on it she didn't want to get off. After the third time I let the wife go with the DD (DS is too short by an inch), for I had a terrible headache from the ride.
We were finished with IOA by 4 pm and the DW decides that maybe we should go see a movie. I said, "your kidding, right we can do that at home". of course I got voted down by everyone and we went to citywalk and saw "The Hulk". BTW...great movie and it was packed. I thought, does everyone go on vacation just to see a movie?
After the movie there was something going on at City Walk...we listen and heard the Commodores were playing. NOW, that was cool. This will show my age since I knew all their songs and my kids were clueless. Anybody else want to chime in here and show their age?...LOL

That rounds out day 4 and basically our trip, for day 5 was a 6:15 am flight back to Nashville, TN. The trip back to the airport and the airport security, etc was uneventful. the flight was fine and it was good to get back home.

This concludes my trip. I may have mixed up parks, mixed up days or even events, but hopefully everyone gets the gist. If anyone has any questions, just ask, and YES the pics will come...give me time...LOL

OH and one more thing I forgot to mention...the large stuffed toy we gave to a boy in a wheelchair we saw before we left. I told my DS that there was no way to get it home and he didn't even get mad. So we lugged it back out of the hotel and went to US and I told him to pick someone that may want it. Well, the first kid thought it was trick or something and didn't want it and then a young boy (maybe 10) in a wheelchair came by and low and behold my DS offers it to him and he accepts, but his family doesn't know how to lug it around. I told them it would be at the PBH luggage service waiting for them and they agreed. So another boat ride back with this huge stuffed animal and it was waiting for them. When we left early the next day we noticed it was gone, So...bonvoage large stuffed animal...!

:goodvibes

That was so sweet of you guys to give the stuffed animal to that kid. I'm glad your son was OK with it.

you took a 6:15 am flight back home.

that is REALLY early dave..........
what time did you get to the airport?

i am known for taking those real early flights like 6ish in the morning to go to orlando..........but always a night flight out when i leave.

Alison:

At first the son was not really ok with it. IN FACT, he wanted to take the animal on the plane. I told him the only way would be through checked baggage or to purchase an extra seat. He was really wanting the animal. After further review with him (the extra seat would have been outragous), it was decided checked baggage would have damaged the animal and he didn't have enough money for the extra seat. HE then decide (with my help) to give it to someone else. I thought it worked out perfect for the boy in the wheelchair, due to the fact that boy may never have a chance at a prize like that.

Mac:

The only way I could get the $650 for four from Southwest was to get their early and leave early. With our rental car we arrived at the airport about 5:00, and actually that was pushing it. Enterprise is off site and luckly they had a shuttle waiting. We grabbed Mcdonalds at the airport on the fly and then went throught the somewhat long line of security. They started boarding at 5:40 and the DS and I got on with the others towing behind (with the food). Kinda looked like the home alone family running through the airport....LOL.
