Haha, me again with another hotel question. What do you guys think of The Desert Palms Inn? It would be not quite $200 more but I believe it has interior hallways and looks like it’s slightly closer than Best Western Stovall’s Inn, which is the other place I’m booked. Both have included breakfast.

Wasn't $200 the difference between Stovall's and the FFI? For that difference, I would have stayed with the FFI because of the location. DPI isn't worth $200 extra for the location. Stovall's is fine -- people here like it (Best Western Stovall’s Inn?) -- the distance isn't that far -- and saving $200 is rather significant.

I'd much prefer the BW but I have no pension for hallways. Just want to be close!

I could rebook Fairfield Inn. The rate has come down a little. Hmm, I’ll have to make up my mind soon.

If the rate at the FFI has come down and there is a no penalty cancellation policy, I'd re-book it now just to have the alternative available. Then, as soon as you make up your mind, cancel whichever hotel you won't be needing. For me, if the difference in price doesn't matter and if a free breakfast isn't that important, the location for the FFI is much better than the location for the other two hotels. You can always shop at the CVS or Walgreens (corner of Harbor and Katella) for some quick breakfast items to keep in your room, then grab something a little more substantial in the parks, e.g. at Starbucks, Jolly Holiday, Red Rose Tavern, etc.

Yes, because plus there is a breakfast at FFI, it’s $10 a day. That’s not too bad. There is also a McDonalds close by and a Panera. It is tempting because it’s so close to the Disneyland gates. I did the math again and now the FFI is only $118 more. I’m leaning towards the FFI right now. I have until January 8th to make a decision.

If the difference is now only $118, I'd would definitely re-book the FFI. Just make sure about the no penalty cancellation policy on your reservation. When you are doing a 5 day trip, that close location may not seem like such a big deal on day 1; but by the end of day 4 and 5, you will really appreciate it much more.

For $118 more, I’d personally choose the FFI. I’ve stayed here a few times. The rooms are updated and clean, the staff is great and I love the location. It is much closer than Stovall’s or Desert Palms

I booked through a booking site and it’s free cancellation until the 8th of January. 👍🏻
