Not needing desert with CS - any other options ?

I rarely eat desert, even less likely with lunch . . . .

Most CS places will let you sub a bottle water or maybe some fruit, but not all. You can always ask. However, if you've paid for the DDP, you're losing money by subbing anything.

I would just see if they have cookies or something that packs up easily and save it for a snack later.

I'm not a big fan of the cs desserts and I was able to get fruit (usually packaged grapes or apple slices) without a problem

We've been able to substitute dessert at CS for things like bottle water, fruit & even yogurt and have never had an issue.

We usually wouldn't pass on dessert but we find some locations limited in options, couple that with usually large portions and decreased appetite through the heat and we don't really go for it either. We've had some success with fruit bags being subbed, we will definitely make more of a point of asking this year, the resorts usually have various fruit cups as options anyways (but then they also generally have the better selection of desserts!)

If you paid for the QS plan and you dont want the dessert, you might think about skipping the plan altogether. It's going to come down to what the rest of your party wants. If you are all dessert skippers, the plan will not save you money. Of course there are some Disney guests who don't want the plan to save money, but because they like to have things prepaid and don't really care if it saves money or not.

at both DL and WDW I ALWAYS substitute out the dessert for the fruit or veggies or water bottle. offered in a kids meal. Not once in all these years was there a problem.
It is nice to have the veggie and fruit snacks for later.
