Not i-95??

Does anyone not do I-95? I hate 95, and we usually like to take roads that aren't quite as busy. I know we might not be able to drive as fast, or make it there quicker, but I'd rather be comfortable in my drive than road-raged and mentally exhausted.

So, does anyone have an suggestions to alternate routes? We are driving from SW Virginia, so we can go south to 26 or a little north to 77 and then south. In my search of the posts, I have not seen anyone post that they did not take 95 to Florida.

I would LOVE to. We just got home on Sunday, and let me tell you....after 6 driving trips to WDW, we just decided we are going to go another way next time. It is the most stressful part of the trip. We sat in stop and go traffic for FOUR hours last Saturday. No accident, just TRAFFIC. I was so stressed, I need another vacation.......

Next trip north in May we'll be trying the I-26, I-77, I-81 route. I'm so tired of the traffic from Virginia on north.
