not going to wdw this year going to hawaii

Why are you going then? :confused3

My Dh and I were supposed to go to Hawaii for our honeymoon. Then when we went to plan it, we found out the cruise left the day that we were getting married. So we went on a Carnival Cruise for a week instead and then a week at WDW. Very nice all around, but I still want to see Hawaii!
Maybe we'll just move there - 80 degrees year round.:rotfl:

Maybe if you focus on something you enjoy, like dining out, the tropical plants and flowers, the tropical drinks :lovestruc, the beach, the history - something that Hawaii has that you want to see, you might get into the trip more. If not, you can give the trip to me and Dh, lol! :yay:

I know what you mean. Spring 2008 I was planning a Colorado trip for June and a WDW trip for November. For a while I found myself wanting to work more on the WDW trip, even though it was much later on in the year. But once I got going, I got into the Colorado planning. It can be hard to switch gears.

All winter on all those snow days I browsed vrbo cabins in the Gatlinburg Tennessee area. Had a bunch of them saved to my favorites, had ideas worked out...now we are going to Wisconsin Dells with SIL's family instead. So switching gears again! It will be fun, and we are getting a 3 bedroom condo to share so it will be more like a cabin than a standard hotel room at least. I love to plan vacations, but Disney is the only place more than once, so naturally I feel more comfortable and knowledgable. Make yourself do the research and hopefully the excitement will build.

We are also going to Hawaii this year. We will be there over Christmas. I have to admit that I wasn't as excited at first, but when I finally booked the airfare and knew it was official I started getting excited. I actually just booked the car rental today.

I did cheat a little though. My DH is deployed so I am taking the kids to Disney when school lets out. It is a smaller Disney trip that we usually take because of the Hawaii trip.

OK I will say it. I've been to Hawaii several times, vacationing on Maui, Hawaii, and Oahu and I prefer WDW. Our second vacation on Maui was pretty nice but I still don't really get the appeal of Hawaii (just as my husband doesn't get the appeal of WDW).
