OK this is nothing to do with Orlando but wandering if anyone could share their views!!

We are due to fly out next week to Washington and then down to Mexico before finally getting to Orlando, we are flying down for my brother-in-laws wedding. (we are travelling separate from everyone else)

Trouble is we are in limbo at the moment as first choice have cancelled flights until the 12th (half the family is due to fly out on the 12th the other half on the 13th) so the ones that were on the 12th have today re-booked for the 13th and they are saying they will know Friday if flights are going to be cancelled further.

First choice and Thomson's have put on extra flights to the Dominican and Jamaica until the 16th, now my question is where have the planes to get to Dominican and Jamaica come from? if the ban is lifted and they are going to fly to Mexico surely they don't have a spare 2 planes hanging around. Am I making sense?

The flight everyone is currently on next wed is flying out of Manchester at 10.30am and they have also now put on another flight to Dominican from Manchester at 10.30am!! are they using the Mexico plane?

OK that was kind of long winded....

companies dont normally have spare planes hanging around as its not making money for them. I would think if theya re cancelliong flights those planes will go to the new destinations

Both dom rep and jamaica are fantastic so if they get married there they will have a great time

They can charter in planes from other airlines, it's pretty common for that to happen especially in the summer.

This was my thinking... they have been told that they will know on friday if the flights are going from wed next week. (they don't want to go anywhere else apart from mexico) but I am still thinking if they have already arranged flights for jamaica and Dominican then how can they still fly to Mexico if they are already using the planes?
