To an all inclusive during Spring break? I'm not sure if I should book what we can afford now or wait for some thing better to open up the month before that we can afford. We're not set on a particular hotel and city, just somewhere warm.. As much as I'd be happy going back to the world. My husband claims he needs a break:confused3 (we're going in November)! When itcomes to spring breaks in March are there even last minute deals to be found. What's everyone's experience? I would just hate to book a 3 star hotel now and then find out in February, I could have gotten a 4 or 5 star for the same price! Thanks!

I'll start by saying I do not enjoy staying at all inclusives and wouldn't choose it for a vacation--so take what I have to say as you will.

In my experience, spring break sell offs are almost non existent. What may be available would be a cuba/dominican republic as they have the most properties out there. If this is where you are thinking you don't want to book less than a 4 star. I would consider booking early, many suppliers have good early booking discounts that may help make the increased cost easier to handle.

That being said, travel in general is down. Maybe next year will be a different situation than years past.

When we want a vacation away from WDW we go to DL or on a Disney cruise, LOL!!!

We have done the AI. Most sell-offs come right after Christmas. You can catch some sales. With that being said you get exactly what you pay for, there are no deals. They were all over priced to begin with. Never stay in anything less than a 4 star preferably a 5 star and check out each resort on trip advisor for reviews on the hotel, beach and food.:thumbsup2

I know that for the 2 Quebec Spring Break weeks (late Febuary/early March), there are always correct "last minute" offers from Montreal (and GREAT deals out of Toronto, if someone would want to drive...). But that means not being picky, and take what's on sale (thought I could do it year before last, but then started to look and fell in love with a great place...). Is Ontario all on break at the same time? That would make it difficult. Otherwise, if it is spread out over 2-3 weeks, with the numbers of flights out of Toronto, you should be able to find something. That is based on past years experience, but with the rising price of fuel, I just don't know if it still will be the case. There might be less flights going out than before. The winter (cold, snow) also influences the sellof offers, like this spring, prices didn't go down in April like the year before, since we had so much snow.

Hope you'll enjoy your vacation, I love all-inclusive, it's very relaxing, it's not a "trip", but a vacation. Nothing to think about, organize, or decide, just "Eat, drink and be merry". I went to Cuba in April for the last 2 years, once at the place I fell in love with, the other at a great last minute deal (750$ for a 4*!), and I fully intend to return next spring!
