Not Disney - but guess what I did today?

I had a ride in the Goodyear Blimp. What a HOOT!

I recently took my daughter's car into the Goodyear service center near my work and filled out a little card that said I could possibly win a trip in the Blimp..............so of course I filled it out.

Last saturday they called me to tell me that my name had been drawn. The 1/2 hour trip was for 2 people so of course I had to take my daughter since it was her car.

It is so very different than riding in an airplane as when the "teather team" leaves go of the ropes (we found out that a Blimp is not very technologically advanced) the thing just kind of goes UP. It is a very gentle ride with no sharp dips or turns. I really had a great time and so did my daughter until she slipped on the ladder when we de-blimped!

Just goes to show ya........never know what ya might win!!!

Took several pics but, don't know how to show them in this forum. I am still a bit "computer stupid". We flew at about 1,000 feet (lower than at a football game) and at about 42knots per hour. Very comfy ride. Our flight took us over a couple of the western suburbs of Chicago and over the "Fermi-lab". Was a bunch of fun. Now I need to do a hot air balloon ride and a glider.
