I am cruising with a large group and there are 5 children who are cousins and siblings from the ages 3 through 7. I understand they will all be in the Oceaneer Club, but what I am not clear on and can not get a straight answer on is....Will the children in the 3-5 group be able to interact with the childern in the 5-7 group. My concern is will my 3 year old see my 6 year old playing and not be allowed to join her?

Sometimes the kids are in the Club at the same time, but doing different activities. During this time, the two different age groups are kept separate. IF they are having free play time or movie time, they are allowed to interact together. I thought my kids (6 and 3) would have been together more, but they really were separate and usually not in the same place at the same time.

The Club & Labs really try to keep the age group separate. Afterall, if they allow the age to mix, think how chaotic it can get. It wouldn't be fair for the kids and the counselors if an age 5-7 counselor had to assist a younger child in an activity that's meant for 5-7 group.

The only time a younger child can possibly join an older group is when the child is within 3-4 weeks of turning to that specific age.

I underdstand why there are separate age groups, I just don't understand what the separate activities are. For example: Are the activites that involve a character separated by age as well? Will my 3 year old see my 6 year old interacting with a character and not be able to do the same? I have never been on a Disney Cruise before with my children, so I have no clue how the kids club works. I am all for the seperate age groups, I just want to have an idea how it works so I can expain it to my children before we go.

Usually when there is a special activity for a certain age group, the other age group is moved out of the club to the lab. My DS 3 was in the lab one night, because there was a special sctivity for the 5 - 7's. When the Goofy Giggle Gala went on, it was in the Lab, while my DS was in the Club. There are a few times that they have both kids in the club at the same time, like Do You want to be a Pirate? But, the kids are kept separate, as they each do different activities. They are really kept separate and are rarely in the Club together, with the exception of free play time and movie time. Usually one is somewhere else, than the club.

visit dave's website, you can see the Kids Club Navigators. That will give you an idea of what activities there are for the different age groups. If they don't have it, I can fax it to you.

I am sorry I am new to this. Who is Dave? and What is is web site? Thank you so much.
