Okay, here is how my week went last week. I don't think that it could get any worse. Saturday the 17th, we had planned to drive to the Mall of America (5 1/2 hours away) for a little family getaway. Get up at 4:30 am, on the road by 5:30. Things were great, kids had a blast at the mall.

My husband's mother had been sick. They had all gone to Florida to visit her before Christmas, and then she ended up coming home with DH's sister, so she could take care of her (it was pretty much the end, didn't give her a definate time line, said it could be 2 days, but could also be 2 years).

We get to the hotel where we were going to stay the night. DH calls his sister, finds out his mom had just passed away. I tell him I will drive back home, so we pile all of our stuff back in the car, and head back home.

While all this is going on, I have a dry cough that is starting, more bothersome than anything. We get to his sister's house about 10 at night, completely exhausted. His sister lives about an hour south of our house. We end up staying there Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday nights. Wednesday was the funeral, very nice service.

I still have the cough, and it is getting worse. Early Thursday morning, I get up to go to the bathroom. When I get back to the pull out sofa DH and I are sleeping on, I can barely breathe. DH is worried, I tell him I am okay, and to go back to sleep. We wake up about 7 am. I am burning up, still can't breathe. He brings my to the hospital, and to make a long story short, I am admitted for 5 days with pneumonia in both lungs. What a way to spend the week! I am better now, discharged yesterday, just very exhausted still, actually, we both are. It has been a long few days!

My condolences on the death of your MIL. :(

And I hope you are feeling better after your bout of pneumonia! Please take care ofyourself and try to get rested up.

I am sorry for your loss. I'm glad you're our of the hospital, though.

Take care

Sometimes when there are stressful situations, people tend not to take care of themselves as well......seems like you had your share of stress!

I'm so sorry for your MIL's passing. I hope you will feel better again soon too.

I'm so sorry to hear about your MIL :( And I hope you feel much better soon... take care
