Can you rent a golf cart from somewhere else and have it delivered to FW. Do you think this would be cheaper? Can you rent them by the week??

Frank (or Denise, but she would have the link there...), where is the link for this person to go to??:confused3

We've used Golf Cart Enterprises before, and were happy with them! It was quite awhile ago though, so I don't have any idea of what their current prices are.

We are going for two weeks, and the price of a cart seems outrageous for the amount of use it will get, so I was looking into off-site rentals. One of the places actually answered my e-mail and said that Disney won't let them deliver to FW. We don't have a vehicle to pick up, so we're kind of stuck.

Has anyone actually rented and had it delivered? Maybe the guy I heard from didn't know what was fact and what was fiction.

I contacted 3 or 4 others, including Golf Cart Enterprises, but no one has answered my e-mail.

Thanks.

They can't deliver inside Fort Wilderness anymore, but as far as I know, they can still deliver outside of Fort Wilderness.

You CAN have a cart delivered to you at FW. Contact mailto:kartimann@msn.com Steve Senesi of Golf and Electric Vehicles Group. Their prices are better than Disney's, and they will deliver it to your site after you arrive and call them with your site number. They do not deliver or pick up on weekends.

Is this new? I know that Disney about 5-6 years about put a rule into place that you can no longer have carts delivered to your site, only out in the parking lot. Has something changed?

I just sent Steve an e-mail. Thanks for the info - I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Have a great day.

From what I've read Steve has delivered fairly recently to the Fort. The only issue is that he doesn't offer any weekend delivery. There have been people who work around that, by using the Disney cart for weekend, and take delivery of his cart weekdays..especially if they are staying longer than a week..the rate gets better. He also offers carts that will carry more than four people.

Just to clarify. What the Fort no longer allows is for the golf cart delivery companies to drive to your site with their truck and your rented cart on a trailer.

What SOME companies are doing to compensate is to meet you at the overflow lot/day lot with your cart and you drive it to your site OR they are parking at the overflow lot and driving the cart to your site.

Most of the outside companies however, have decided that it's not worth it and will no longer deliver to the Fort, but will allow you to rent their little trailer, pick up the cart, then bring the trailer back to them. Same procedure for dropping the cart back off.

they are parking at the overflow lot and driving the cart to your site.

Exactly. Steve will do this for you. Reserve with him ahead of time, and then you call him when you arrive with your site number, and he will deliver it to you.

PS....I'm saving about $300.00 going with Steve ::yes::

Ahh ok, I knew that they still couldn't drive in with it, I thought I was going crazy for a second.

But yea, if they're willing to drive it to you, that would work for sure.
