Not a coaster or HP fan, should we do IOA?

We have been to three HHN's but have only actually done US once and that was the morning of an HHN day. We enjoyed the park but only did a few attractions (MiB, ET, Twister, The Mummy, Jaws (closed now), Disaster).

We are going to Disney in February and plan on spending the first two days in Universal this trip. We will be checking into the HRH on Thursday and leaving Saturday. We are landing in Orlando at 9:30am so that will give us just about two full days to explore Universal.

As I said in the title I am not a coaster fan. With that being said I loved The Mummy. I just don't like inverts, I know RRR doesn't put you "upside down" but it is still insane and I am a wuss. I know DW will want to ride The Simpsons, but even that one makes me nervous. Again, I'm a wuss!

So is it worth checking out IOA while we are there? Unfortunately we are not HP fans, so as amazing as HP land sounds it would be waisted on us.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks!

i''m not a parry hotter fan and i do ioa on each visit.
i do go to that section in the park as i love the butter beer.

dr doom is the one ride i really really enjoy which some might consider it's too "fast" of a ride.
love spiderman ride.

Seuss area i love.
i hit all the rides there.

Mystic Fountain is a place i spend time at.
it's a rock fountain that talks to the guests standing around that area.
love the humor and interactions of the guests to a "rock".

i get get pleasure out of using the water cannons on those doing the wet rides.
have been known to spend much $$$ for that entertainment.

always hit some of the eateries at ioa.
Blondies, Confisco Grille, Thunder Falls Terrace

i'll do partial days at ioa on many of the days i am in the parks.

the two shows i will hit on every other vacation.

i have fun in the shops at Port of Entry each visit.

if you have the time on your vacation, it is worth checking out IOA.

(i prefer the studios side and can spend days in that park.)

Its worth the visit just to eat at MYTHOS!

A great day for us at IOA, is getting there early, riding spiderman, HP, strolling suess land, and having an 11:30 lunch at mythos, and then heading over to US.

Harry Potter is just like a Fantasyland. You don't have to know anything about it to enjoy it. It's about wizards and dragons and magic wands and such.

I would definitely do it. Go on Spiderman and the Dr. Seuss stuff as well as Poseidan's Fury and the Jurassic Park River Adventure.

We love the Hard Rock and the relaxation that the express pass allows but if you have no interest in HP or coasters then I say, "skip Universal."

If not for the expanding HP and traveling with others who have never been, I wouldn't be considering Universal for our next trip. We are disappointed in the Universal parks every time and even though we enjoyed HP, last time, we kept saying, if only Disney owned it, it could be so much more.

You are kidding right? Disney lost HP to Universal because all Disney proposed was a single ride and mouse ears on everything. Disney would have "Disneyfied" it big time which is why Rowling decided to go with Universal. Diagon Alley will be far more advanced than anything Disney has ever done and will ever do in the next 5-10 years. I think the theme park world will be floored!

Hope so because we found the current Wizarding World completely underwhelming.
