Norway Magic 6/6/2015

It wasn't there and then it reappeared and the price hasn't increased yet. I guess its one of those fluid inventory things right now.

Unfortunately my Castaway Club account still shows my dummy cruise and not this one so I don't think she got it yet.

Wow, you are all so experienced. I'm a complete newbie to DCL and cruising overall... And obviously not too good with facebook either, cause I can't find the group :-(

My husband and myself will be on this cruise with our 11 year old DD (at time of cruising). Hello to all.

I have added your thread to the cruise meet list :beach:
Have a great cruise!

So EXCITED! We will be a party of four adults: DH, DD24 and DS19 and me.
Can't wait to get to know more about you guys .

Lisa

Hello from Richmond, VA. We were able to book this cruise and we are looking forward to meeting everyone on the Disboards and on the cruise.

Norway will be our 11th cruise with Disney! And our first time on the Magic since she was re-imagined.

I've only traveled once abroad. 10 years ago! I'm excited to travel somewhere new! I see we have someone already in Copenhagen (I'll be messaging you for advice on getting around there). Anyone else ever been to this beautiful country?

Carrie

I haven't been to Copenhagen, yet :) This is my first time for any of the Scandinavia countries. :goodvibes

I can't remember if I already posted it here, but you are all more then welcome to ask me any questions about Copenhagen. I'm Danish and live in Copenhagen. I've been to Norway a few times (Not the places, we are going on this sailing) So feel free to ask me anything. I have traveled to the States several times, so I know how different Scandinavia can seem compared to the States.
I'll return your questions with lots of questions about sailing with Disney since this is my first time :-)

Sounds like a plan! Glad we can help each other out. I speak French and a little German...any chance I'll get to practice when I'm visiting Norway or Copenhagen?

I booked directly with DCL because apparently my Dreams Unlimited travel agent has vanished off of the face of the planet, not responding to any emails. So, uh, yeah, if you don't respond I don't trust you with my booking. I will transfer to Costco within 30 days to get the cash card after we sail.

I'm not familiar with the cash card with Costco...would you elaborate please?

Happy to join you all. Will be my first time to Denmark and Norway and really looking forward to it. Contemplating also doing the one right after this ... possibly.:)

Finally got booked earlier today. Hopefully I can find a way to make airfare affordable so this really happens.

You might run into German or French people here in the summertime (Lots of tourists) but Danes will prefer if you just stick to English. Most Danes had German in school but most also forgot it after ;)

The only word I remember from when I was in Denmark and Norway 20+ years ago is "Tak", or Thank You.

I think I will need to brush up on some more words. By the way DCL has provided some basic phrases here:

http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/cruises-destinations/northern-europe/ports/copenhagen-denmark/

Thank you is pronounced the same way in Danish and Norwegian, so that's an easy one. Just by being able to say Hi, goodbye and thank you, you are already well integrated :)

Hi from Australia :)

This is the final leg of our B2B2B, and it's me, DH, DD (6 by then), and DS (2 by then). My daughter LOVES Frozen (is anyone surprised?) so she is excited to be going to Norway.

We are booked on this cruise too. Party of three my DH , adult DD and me.Very excited but we are doing Alaska on Wonder in june so will not do much planning till later!:dance3:

DD (will be 11) and I just booked this trip, very excited. :woohoo: It'll be our 4th Disney cruise and hope to rebook with OBB benefits when we go this summer. Plan to fly in early to see Stockholm and Copenhagen. Her class has read Lois Lowry's Number the Stars (about the Danish Jews escaping to Sweden during the German occupation) and she wants to visit Gilleleje (sp?).
