Norway Maelstrom

Either DH and I are having shared hallucinations, or the Norway ride is different. Didn't it used to back you up to the waterfall, let you sweat a moment, then take back off forwards? And isn't the waterfall you dangled on the one you can see from outside the ride?

It still does that. At least it did a week ago. I remember the others in our boat were freaking out about going down the waterslide backwards.

Yes, you are not going nuts! Years ago, the boat used to go much farther out into the "outside" at the waterfall into the daylight , so that people in the Norway courtyard could see the boat and the people in the back rows. Now it has been altered so that it does not stick out so far, safety reasons I think.
