Tell me more about the Counter service in norway. is it on the DDP. also does anybody have food photos. a review etc
thanks

I did not take photos but I love the bakery here. They typically have three sandwiches on the menu - I think turkey, a sort of veggie sandwich and I think PBJ for the kids. I did not use the dining plan but the famiyl ordering ahead of me was and they were getting a lot of food - it is just sandwiches, chips and a drink or that was what they were getting. Be sure to try the bakery selections too - School Bread all the way!

i try to get the best value with the DDP and the sandwiches looked expensive, hehe, however I also want good food. So hopefully the sandwiches are good and big sizes

Every time that we have been there, I have had an open-faced smoked salmon sandwich. Includes the salmon, scrambled egg, chopped red onion, probably cream cheese. Yummy.

My son would always get a waffle.

We don't do the dining plan, so I'm not sure how all of that counts. But we do like the food.

Forget the sandwich and just have their School Bread...OMG it is so goooood :thumbsup2and it is a snack credit on the DDP.

The sandwiches are great - especially when you wash it down with a Carlsburg

I tried one and it was VERY VERY fishy. Others chimed in that it is often really fishy, and that's normal. Just a heads up if you don't like fishy salmon this might not be for you.

Now the schoolbreads on the other hand.......... (In the voice of DONKEY on Shreak) "EVERYBODY loves SCHOOLBREAD!!! Have you ever heard anybody say "Heck no I don't like no schoolbread?" :rotfl2:

Its among our top 3 desserts.

I'm not sure if this is still the case there, but at some point last year (before May) they changed their menu and eliminated the open faced sandwiches, replacing them with sandwiches on what was, to me, a really hard roll type of bread. They used to have roast beef, ham, and salmon open faced sandwiches. Last year they had roast beef, I believe the salmon, and chicken salad. I loved the old sandwiches and hate the new ones. The chicken salad was pitiful; very tiny amount on the bread, and only three small pieces of chicken in it. The bread was so hard it was inedible. We'll be eating elsewhere for lunch this trip.

If the new sandwiches are still there, I'd skip this place for a meal but definitely go for a snack/dessert. The school bread and an order of lefske are my favorites! :goodvibes
