Any Amazing Race watchers out there? They were in Norway in the 10/20 episode. And one of the activities involved RIB boats. Looked pretty cool, and the scenery looked amazing. We already have an ABD booked for 2014 but are thinking seriously about this one for 2015 (but still hoping DCL will be going back to the Baltics).

We already have an ABD booked for 2014 but are thinking seriously about this one for 2015 (but still hoping DCL will be going back to the Baltics).

Saw Amazing Race last night. Norway looked very cool (still light at 3 am). So, do you think hanging and drying the fish heads would be a "fun" family activity that ABD could incorporate into the itinerary?

We'll be on the June 28-July 5 trip- we actually won the giveaway through Disney (back in November- where you upload a picture and add a Frozen border.) That week isn't currently listed, so I am not sure if it's just a week for promotional guests or if it's already full? We're totally new to ABD, but so excited for our trip!

Congratulations! What a great way to be introduced to the world of ABD. If the date's not listed, my guess is, that week is just for promotional guests, maybe Travel Agents, etc. Because normally they'll still offer a waitlist for sold out weeks, for just in case someone cancels. But that's really just a guess.

I'm sure you're going to have the trip of a lifetime! But be aware, ABDs are addictive!

If you'd like, let me know who all is in your travel party, and I'll add that
to the roll call.

It's so exciting- we hadn't even really looked into ABD since we have young children, so we've mostly stuck to WDW trips for family vacations the last several years. We're blown away by the itineraries and can't wait to go on our trip! I know we are going to be spoiled and will have a hard time coming back to reality.
My husband and another couple are joining me. They aren't on DISboards, so I guess we don't need to add them to roll call (although I can give you names?)

Generally the idea is for others on the trip (or contemplating signing up for the trip) to know how many other folks and/or DISers may be joining them. People worried about the ages and sex of the kids on the trip would want that info. I don't need names unless you want to have them listed. I can just put you, DH, and however you want to describe the other couple. Up to you what to put. If someone else on the trip wants to contact your group, they can do it through you or this Thread.

Adventures by Disney offers trips all over the world, and has for about 8 years now. Each year they offer a set of trips, mostly during the May to September timeframe, although some of the trips (to Costa Rica, for instance) will be offered at times throughout the year. They will occasionally retire a trip if people just aren't booking it any more, or re-vamp a trip. And they usually offer one or two new trips each year. Norway is one of the new trips for this year. Assuming it's popular, there's a very good chance it will be offered next year. Take a look at the website and the schedule for this year. There's a very good chance that most of the trips listed will be offered again next year. Lately, they've been releasing the next year's schedule in May.
