We live close to Indy and have always flown ATA to Orlando. ATA is in dire finanical straight now and is selling off their routes. We just booked a flight to Orlando for our Dec. trip and it is with Northwest. It is an old ATA flight. Has anyone flown Northwest and how are they??

we have also booked a NWA flight out of Indy instead of ATA. I really didn't think too much about it until DS came home on a NWA flight out of Memphis last weekend. He flies alot and he said it was the worst flight he had ever had. The service was awful, the flight didn't even leave until it was time to suppose to be landing. He said next time he will go back to using southwest. I hope our flight is better or that it was just a bad day for them.

Northwest, like any airline, has their problems. For the most part, I enjoy flying Northwest, and find them to be fairly reliable as far as on-time, and getting me to where I want to go for a reasonable price.

We usually try to fly NWA and have pretty good luck with them. No big problems. Debby

I hadn't heard that NW was buying ATA routes, but NW definitely is increasing their presence in IND, and while these routes are being introduced, they are very very competitively priced. I think they smell the blood in the water.

:wizard: We will be flying NWA for our upcoming June 1-10 trip. My husband flies NWA all the time for business and has never had any trouble. We booked through them this time b/c DH has a Frequent flyer miles he wants to use for him. We really wanted non-stop flights so this was our main concern. We will be leaving IND at 7:25 am and returning from MCO at 7:30 p.m. This enables us to get max out of WDW.

I did have a little bump in the road last week when I received an e-mail that our flights had been changed. Originally we were booked on a non-stop from IND leaving at 3:20 p.m. and they had changed it to a 1-stop flight through Detroit. UH...NO! I got right on the phone to the 1-800 number and they then changed me to the early morning non-stop flight. The reason I booked a non-stop was b/c for our trip to WDW my DH is flying a couple of days later than myself and our 2 children. I did not want to change planes in Detroit. Anyway, they were very courteous and helpful and got everything squared away. Now, I am actually more happy with the early flight. More time in WDW! :cheer2:

Also, I was beginning to wonder how reliable ATA would be in this re-structering period. We flew ATA to WDW over Thanksgiving and did not have any trouble, but since I will be flying the first leg of this trip without DH, did not want to take any chances.
