Sorry just could not help myself.... Planning London stay and in a Python Mood...

That's good!

Wow it's been a long time since I've posted on this forum and have a lot of catching up to do!

We are FINALLY all paid up and The Sonnenberg Titusville Disney Troupe is going! I see some names I recognize from our Disney Med Cruise. ie: WVMD and Seaulater. Hey there Virgil!

If anyone remembers we're the family that due to flight delays in Pittsburgh and Philadelphia we missed the ship in Barcelona and had to pick it up in Palermo.

This time we ARE flying into London the day before. We hope to be on the ship for whole 12 days! I have a lot of catching up to do with fun things I hope is planned for this cruise. I saw a note on page 1 of where to post our names and room numbers. Did I see something about lanyards and a hidden Mickey event?

We have been anxiously thinking about excursions! :cool1:

We were also on the med cruise in 2007. We are also all paid in full and waiting for March 12th or 14th (can't remember) so I can start booking.

Where is Titusville, PA? DH's brother lives in Jamison, PA outside of Phildelphia. His niece is a senior at Pitt and we will be going there at the end of April for her graduation.

We were on that Med Cruise too. We missed our initial flight from Philly to Barcelona thanks to the Airshow in Pittsburgh. We made it to the ship, but just barely... leaving 2 days early this time - with many options as needed... I still have the "oil"...

well, I'm off to work to answer questions because the Magic has been stuck at Castaway Cay for an extra day.....I feel so bad for all those cruisers who have airlplane reservations, and those who have to wait an extra day to go on their cruise!

Good Afternoon Cruisers!

Connie - but what about those that got to spend an extra day at Castaway Cay! How cum that never happens on our cruises?

Congrats to all who have made that final payment!

Have a great week all! Happy Valentines Day!

We are the other end of the state from Philadelphia. We are in the northwest corner south of Erie. Titusville is a lovely little town in a valley. It's the birthplace of the oil industry for the world in 1869 - really! Also the town where the Eat N Park smile cookie was invented - it came from Warner's Bakery (now out of business) but the CEO of Eat N Park was from Titusville and loved the smile cookie.

There enough little known facts. Are you coming to Titusville?

Disney will take us to Dover and the ship, but we are on our own from the airport to the hotel since we didn't book the hotel through Disney (at a much higher rate). Any recommendations on the best way from the airport to the hotel? I don't want to run around in the tube with our bags and backpacks; there is a shuttlebus (Heathrow Express I believe) which is cheaper than a taxi--but not sure how far from the hotel we get dropped. Ideas/suggestions sought--thanks!

Can I say the Tube: Piccadilly Line, is actually quite easy, you can get it nearly all the way. It serves Heathrow, any terminal, and goes to Holborn, which is the stop for The British Museum. Heathrow express will be further away, I understand your hotel is 20 meters from the tube station.

Now yes at Holborn you are in a deep tube, so its two sets of escalators up, with luggage, thats the only difficult bit!! Get everyone to hold a bit.

I think that is the way we'll go--and am I right to assume that we'll have escalators on the Heathrow end and on the Holborn end, so we won't have to lug bags up stairs? (As I recall it is a short walk from Holborn to the hotel--passing by a Krispy Kream, if memory serves!) We'll be doing tours to Stonehenge (AM sunrise tour)/Bath and Leeds/Canterbury, the first with a private company and the Leeds with Disney--otherwise, squeezing in whatever remaining time we have to go back to the British Museum (we rushed it last time) and see the inside of St. Paul's--all very convienent to this hotel!

As for Dover: Disney picks us up from the hotel (not sure what time) and I saw that boarding time was around 4 (and I know we have to do the drill etc)--so will there be time to walk about the town of Dover?

As always, this is a great place for information--thanks all!

No, we will be in Pittsburgh.

Finished our cruise documents this morning, brinted out what we needed, got weather info, spin bike trip through Miami and the everglades via DVD LOL.

Cold and wind blowing -15 with wind chill....

I worked a double departure today! Both the Wonder and the Magic left Port Canaveral today! Quite an interesting morning! They all seemed pretty satisfied, but they WERE resort guests, not dirvers or people who flew in just for the cruise. Those people had to go to EPCOT to make accommodation arrangements. The DCL staff were there until 1am!!!
Glad I'm not management!

Yes - it seemed like nobody won - but I do think DCL did a good job trying to appease - of course some will never be satisfied.....
