I know! I saw that and it's awesome! I usually don't wear a coat ever in the winter (unless I'm skiing/sledding or something like that) so it may be time to shed the sweatshirt.
It definitely depends on what you're used to. I miss Houston's heat and humidity. It gets hotter here but it's normally a dry heat which I can't stand. Houston's weather is very similar to central Florida's and I find it comfortable.
Snow is pretty but I hate driving in it. That for me is that biggest issue. Well that and our high gas bill this month! Ugh.
Give me the heat any day...I hate when it's cold and you have to spend 5 minutes just putting on enough clothes to walk out and check the mail!! I would rather run out in my pj's and bare feet and then go back into the air conditioned house!!
I love the cold, dry northern climate. My neighbor loves the hot, humid southern climate. We are very good friends, but we just don't go into each other's houses! I keep mine at 60, she keeps hers at 85. We meet face-to-face walking our dogs in the morning. In the winter, I wear lightweight jeans, flip-flops, and a T-shirt. She wears Gore-Tex or any down-filled hooded apparel. In the summer, she wears a simple neck-to-ankle sweat suit, and I wear a two piece bathing suit. We have to stop meeting like this, because I nearly got arrested for indecent exposure/unlawful impersonation of a teenager last summer! We are now content to talk on the phone and exchange dirty jokes via e-mail.
I'm Canadian, and even though I may be branded a traitor, I will confess that I hate winter. I would gladly trade white Christmas's and four seasons for temperatures that never go below freezing. Now, if anyone wants to flame me, aim it a little to the right, okay? It's cold and a fire would be most welcome!

Im totally with you. Born here, raised here and lived my whole life here. The older I get the less I tolerate the cold. I CAN HARDLY WAIT UNTIL RETIREMENT

Agree totally! Even when it is nice and sunny (and cold) the other day....the van was SO GROSS so muddy/salty just can't keep it clean big chunks of muddy snow to kick off around the tires......then you accidently brush up against the van and you look just as bad......I am tired of little chunks of salt we all bring into the house......the puddles everywhere as we all try to stay on the mat to remove boots....opening and closing the garage to get van out (only keep it in there winter time no garage door opener and it's a bit away from the house)......wet mittens......wet socks......taking FOREVER to get kids dressed to go out to the bus in the mornings... daily checking of the back packs to get out soggy mitts, socks, snowpants......I could go on forever....I HATE IT!!!
