Northern Dis Meet Update - **Cancelled**

Hopping on the back of Jen's thread for a Christmas Dis Meet, I thought I'd better revive the Northern Dis Meet info

Last time we all checked in, we'd chosen Manchester and November as when we'd like to arrange to meet up. Anyone agree with holding it on the last weekend in November, which is the 27th/28th? Any others with different ideas for dates in November, throw them in here too, we'll go with the majority.

Places, well, we've got plenty options in the Print Works, there's the Hard Rock Cafe in there as well as others. It's pretty close to the Arndale Centre too for shopping and Disney store. Anyone think of others places for the meet?

Chat away people and we'll see what we can narrow it down too!

I've created a list, as Kenny suggested, and I have the following people from this thread. Please let me know what if you're still available and how many people you have with you, so I can update the list and keep the restaurant informed. The sooner we have numbers the better, as we'll need to get the deposit over to the restaurant

The last weekend sounds good to me - especially as the 28th is my 40th birthday and a weekend away would be an ideal way to spend it
The only problem I can see with Hard Rock is that I am not sure whether you can pre-book table or not, and as there could be a few of us just turning up could be an issue. I don't really know that area of Manchester that well as we have only been a couple of times - so I would be happy to just go with the flow with regards to where we eat.

Im still Ok for that weekend as well as far as I know.

Ive just looked at the Printworks and they are taking bookings for Christmas parties at some places including Hard Rock cafe and Old Orleans - not sure if they would do this for us on a Saturday afternoon. The only other problem with this is I assume its a lmited choice menu at a set price so may not be what everyone wants

Good point on the menu choices, I'll take a look around and see if there's any other places we could gate crash

And Kenny, it'd be quite cool if we could all celebrate your 40th with you!

PS. If I can get round about numbers ASAP I'll call Hard Rock and see if they'll be able to do anything for us, alongside looking at other places.

Saturday or Sunday hasn't been decided yet, but I would imagine Saturday would be better? People can travel and then still have Sunday to recover if it's needed

Thanks Rachel for sorting this and for checking venues/menus etc.
Will you also check about suitability for children and childrens menus etc as I know some people will need to/want to bring their children along - (I think we said it was a family meet didnt we?)

We would love to bring our kids so are hoping it is family orientated.
We took our two to the one at Tony Romas and they loved meeting everyone. Plenty of other Dissers also brought their children and they were all, without question, well behaved well mannered and a joy to meet.

Count me in! My preference would be Saturday *** I can rope my boyfriend into coming then (he works Sundays and alternate Saturdays) but Sunday is still fine
