We are spending a couple extra days in Vancouver, so I guess we did not have to worry about afternoon flight!

If we weren't pressed for vacation days it'd be easier to stay an extra day in Vancouver and fly the next day or just fly that afternoon and get home the next morning.

Seems like most of the flights leave either early in the morning or in the evening and arrive the next day (at least going to Huntsville anyway).

I found our flight home on fly.com and I booked Southwest for our way out directly since they do not take part on discount ticket search sites. Another website I found to be very good was Onetravel.com. The biggest thing I did not want to pay for was the bag charges but if you can get a good price on the flight just remember to check bag charges as this can add $100+ to your ticket price. We will be taking clothes for one week stay and we will do laundry on board between cruises.
