Nooooo!!! They took away my Lifetime Channel!!!!!

I'm not going to live without The Golden Girls, The Nanny, Will and Grace, and ESPECIALLY the last 5 episodes of Strong Medicine!!!

Did anyone else lose the channel, or is it just my area? (I have dish btw..)

Yep, down in South Georgia and we lost it here, too. I'm so angry about it. I love the Lifetime Movie Network. They need to fix this problem.

Same here, dish here too. There was a number to call. DISH loses alot of channels that way for some reason. If they take away TVLAND, it's back to cable for me!

I'm so mad that I called that number.. it was just a voice recording saying the same thing that went across the bottom of the screen...

I called the number they had and got the same message as I did when I called the one on my TV.

I'm not sure who to believe in this dispute. Clearly, Lifetime wanted more money, but it isn't clear which side is being more honest about how much more money. This is one of the reasons why folks call for a la carte pricing, so you can choose which channels you want, but of course then folks start doing the math, they realize too few people are going to pay the a la carte price to make it profitable to offer it.

It's interesting -- they still have an advertisement for Lifetime on their home page. (It's an advertisement for Lifetime -- not an advertisement for Dish Network.)

Haven't had the tv on at all yet today but just now had to turn it on to see if I lost it also.

we have it (direct tv), just wish they would actualy start and end their shows on time! i was forever losing the ends of movies i had set up to tivo, finaly i learned to add at least 5 minutes to the begining and ending of each recording time.

Bicker, Dishnetwork is awful. They pulled OLN earlier this year as well. Normally I wouldn't care about OLN but I am a big hockey fan and OLN has a significant portion of the national NHL contract. DIsh has a combined 8 or 9 channels in their basic 60 devoted to shopping and religion, neither of which appeal to me. I am counting the months until I can drop them. Its not like it is any cheaper and in my case it has been less reliable.

OMG! I dont know what I would do.. I LOVE Golden Girls and Will & Grace... I would go crazy if I could not watch them!! I always said if they took them off the air I would have to buy the DVDs and keep them stored in my DVD player to watch them everyday as if they were on Lifetime ....

I hope you get the channel back!! I would switch my cable network..

I HATE HATE HATE Dish. Cable hasn't been run out here yet but it's one street over so we are hoping the company will run it to our house soon.

We lost a "local" station today. The NBC station out of Minneapolis decided to raise the fee charged to the cable company so they dropped them. We have another NBC station we can get on our cable so it is the loss of the KARE-11, the tv station.

just saw that one recently-can't remember the name, but do a search under "mercedes ruhl" she played the mom.
