Have loved our Kindles starting with Touch, then original Fire 7", HD 7", HD 9"...I'm sure I'm forgetting one at least.
I remember trying to decide between Nook and Kindle too, busy mom, but even back then it seemed that B&N was sliding toward bankruptcy and closing stores, Nook future support was questionable, and
Amazon was just the opposite. Years later seems like that hasn't changed, so just wanted to let you know we've been soooo happy with our Kindles and Amazon support.
Shoot, you can get a refurbished HD 7" for $129 right now from Amazon that comes with the same warranty as new. That's a give-away price for something that you can read books and magazines, surf the internet , email, watch streaming or downloaded movies or TV on.
To me, modern technology that's now available for the price is incredible, and this is a perfect example of what I mean.
Good luck, busy mom, I'm sure whatever you decide to buy will be fun and exciting.
