NOOK on sale for Black Friday

Best Buy has the $149.00 NOOK in their Black Friday sale for $99. I know there are a lot of people here that have this on their "list" for Christmas so I though I would share the info.

Any word on if the color Nook is also on sale? My MIL "has" to have the color one (for $100, or in this case, ($150) more...

I might just say I couldn't find it, too popular, and wait in line for the $99 one!

I have a Nook and love it. Just a warning for those looking to get the color one. If you are getting it just for reading the color one doesnt have the same ink for lettering as the original one has. Just be careful because it causes my eyes to be tired on the backlit ones.

They only have the one listed in the ad. I am waiting for the Barnes and Noble ad to come out to see if the rest of them are going on sale. I would like the color one and the backlight is WHY I want it. I read on my phone all the time and have had zero issues with eye strain. I want the backlight so I can read in bed without a lamp on.

What I've read is "no". Maybe you can find other info out there though.

There is no way I could read on a backlit on. I get eyestrain from my computer screen and my iTouch.

I'd love to gift a $99 Nook! I just do not want to get in the crowded mess that'll show up for it!
I'm loving my Nook (the 149. one) and think my sister would really enjoy one also.

I'm sorry...what's the difference b/w the 3G model and the wi-fi model? Not very technologically savvy.

Do the refurbs come with a warrantly like with Apple? I've bought a refurb iPod but never anything else.

My understanding is that 3G allows you to download without a wi-fi (wireless internet) connection. So you could be sitting in the dental office and it uses AT&T's network to download a book. From what I read there's a 1yr warranty from B&N on refurbs, but you can also buy a SquareTrade warranty that lasts for 3 years for around $35.
