We are planning a trip for 5 to universal along with IOA, WdW is really not an interest. I have several questions about universal passes and the alloted time it would really take to go thru the park. Are the Flex tickets a value if not attending all parks? sea world universal ioa and a place called lego land are the primary targets, where are good sites for tickets discounted as well as a good hotel? Have been looking at the Doubletree good hotel ???????

how many days do you plan for UO?

lego and sw?

if you have a long stay in orlando, flex could be well worth it.
if you have about 3 days, i wouldn't recommend them.

are you staying onsite at UOR?
if so, free shuttle service from the onsite hotel to sw.

We have stayed at the double tree, and its just ok. do not overpay for it.. we seem to keep getting it on priceline (bidding) for about $45. Keep in mind the parking fee also. Its a good location, but not what i feel a double tree should be.

I should add that i assume you are talking about the one close to Sea World.......

It is difficult to give you an estimate of how long it would take to do the parks without knowing when you will be going. There is a huge different in crowd levels at different times of the year.

There are different ways you can go about it. You can purchase a package at Universal that includes your tickets and hotel and that will give you early admission at Universal's Wizarding World of Harry Potter. If you do this, you won't be getting the flex tickets.

There are lots of close, offsite hotels to Universal. Check trip advisor for comments and photos.
