Non-Smoking World?

Hello all!

I am planning a Disney wedding for March and one of our guests is a smoker. Is Walt Disney World non-smoking or are their designated areas for smokers to go?

While I have been to the world multiple times I have never taken notice to this, as I am a non-smoker.

There are designated areas in each park to smoke & it shows on the park maps.

I believe all the restaurants are smoke free but I don't smoke either so I really wouldn't know.

And there are specific rooms at the resorts that are non-smoking or smoking rooms.

There are designated areas for smokers... not a whole bunch.. but my DH managed to survive

There are (in my opinion) enough smoking areas so we smoker don't have to suffer. Some are a little tucked away so you have to search a little. The CMs are very helpful in pointing you in the right direction and always thanked us for seeking them out. I guess alot of people don't bother and just light up anywhere.

My DH is a smoker. The designated areas are a bit difficult to find so we often ended up trekking back across the park to the last one we had found. Overall, it wasn't a problem in WDW BUT have you flown with a smoker lately? It was very difficult in the airports because once you get through security there are no more places to smoke. For my DH, flying is a stressful experience anyway, then when we landed we got caught up going through customs. Oh my... We were both dying for him to have a cigarette.

You need to fly to Las Vegas. Yeah, I know it's not Disney, but the airport does have smoking 'rooms' - complete with slot machines

Next time you go to Disney World, if you want, I'll give you my phone number. You can call me when your DH needs a cigarette and tell me where you are, and I'll tell you where the nearest smoking area is
