non rfid tickets and fastpass +

I have a room only reservation and I was planning on using old tickets all non-rfid and some are prior MYW tickets.

How do I link those to my MDE, so I can get fastpass + times?

I am on site in April and plan on using old tickets as well. The 2008 tickets can be added to MDE, but 2007 and 2006 are not able to.

An excellent question that I have been looking for an answer to. Ticketing says that I can only get it done at guest relations.

Short answer - go to guest relations at one of the park entrances.

Long answer -
We went in January and had old paper tickets from 2006. They could not be imported through the MDE website. We had to go to guest relations at one of the park entrances to exchange them. Even after the exchange, we still had problems getting them working in MDE. Luckily, we did this on the day we arrived, and weren't planning on going to the parks that day. We were staying at a DVC resort and were directed to the concierge. It took them about 3 hours to get everything fixed. (I think part of the problem was that one of the kids was on a child ticket in 2006 and are now considered an adult.) My wife suggests taking a picture of the back of your current tickets and making sure that you get a receipt when you trade them in for the rfid tickets.

I figured that I would have to swap the tickets at guest relations but will I be able to do Fastpass + from home before I get there? Everyone else in my party has already purchased tickets from an outside vendor, so theirs are all rfid. We want to all get the FP before we leave.

No, you won't be able to do FP+ for your ticket until it is linked to MDE. I think everyone linked to your MDE account has to have tickets before anyone can do FP+.

When we went in December we had trouble linking 3 out of 8 tickets. We contacted Disney IT and they still could not resolve the issue. We were told to go ahead and make FP+ selections for the 5 that were linked and that Guest Services would mirror them within 5 minutes after linking the other 3 tickets at WDW. It worked just as they said.
