Non preffered sites

My mom and I have made a very spontaneous decision to go to Disney August 3-10 and to keep it on the budget friendly side we are driving down and camping at the Fort (which I have ALWAYS wanted to do) we've stayed in the cabins but that was a few years ago last time we stayed in them... can any one give me a decent site loop to request? The thing is I would like to be some what close to the comfort station ( I have a bladder issue im sure that was TMI so im sorry) We are tenting it so we only need water and electricity but Id also like to be as close to the marina as possible I know that they are only requests which is fine but since I havent tented there before Im not really sure what to expect in theway of distances to places and budget wise I think renting a golf cart is out of the question.....

Well, from what i've experienced... there are no non preferred sites close to the marina. Riding the bus is not bad, but allow extra time for things like getting to the marina right in time to watch the boat pull out and take off and having to wait for the next. This year we brought bikes... and got a preffered site and had the best time yet. You save money but kinda give it up in time it seems. Even alot of the preferred sites are not that close to the marina. As far as getting a site close to the CS, first request it.... they usually stick you anywhere they want anyway. If it is not that close when you finally get to where your site is, go back to the registration office and politely tell them why you need to be near a comfort station and they will most likely then move you as close as they can. Getting the key card to work is another subject......
