Non-Party Advice for Halloween Festivities?

So we've done the Halloween party twice this year and had a blast but by a random stroke of luck we happen to be at WDW from 10/30 to 11/2! We've opted out of doing MNSSHP for a third time (It's sold out now anyway), so we are looking for some ideas for Non-Party (Non-Magic Kingdom) Halloween Festivities for the night of Halloween. I've looked at the Activities Guides for every resort and only see two with anything special listed for Halloween: Fort Wilderness and The Grand Floridian.

Has anyone been to The Grand Floridian Halloween Party? I'm somewhat familiar with Fort Wilderness's offerings but would like to hear more. I'm also curious if any of the other parks do anything special? Is there an Illuminations Halloween tag? How about Disney Springs?

I see the party at the Grand Floridian, but what are you referring to with Ft. Wilderness? We are wanting to go there on Halloween night, but the golf cart parade is the day before. We are wondering if there's anything going on there on October 31 besides what's listed in the link.

What I was seeing for Fort Wilderness was the Beach Bash on Oct 30th. From what I understand just looking at the decorations and trick or treating is fun there. I like the link you posted though because there are things on that list that I didn't see in the recreation guides.

After doing a little more research, I'm not sure how accurate the link was that I posted. On the October recreation guide, it shows the winners of the golf cart parade and the campsite decoration contest being announced on October 30 at the Beach Bash, but the link I posted shows it on the 31st at 6:30.

Weird that he hasn't updated it. I guess we are going to head to the Poly for some bread pudding at Tambu Lounge, then over to Ft. Wilderness to walk around and see the campsites and do some trick or treating. Hopefully some of the golf carts will still be decorated. I definitely have to roast a marshmallow at the campfire. Then we have an ADR at The Wave followed by HalloWishes at TOTWL. I can't wait! Have fun at the GF party!

That sounds like fun too! Top of the World Lounge sounds like a great idea. We may end up at Fort Wilderness as well because we have some friends staying there so it should be neat to see the campsites. Enjoy your visit! Happy Halloween!
