Hi,

Winter Park on Saturday for the Farmers market, shopping & scenic boat tour.

Vero Beach on Saturday or Sunday followed by early dinner @ Port Canaveral to watch the fishing charters return & the cruise ships leave whilst enjoying a nice meal.

Not every ones cup of tea but we enjoy them.

Mick.

We love a trip to Bok Gardens, nice chill out especially watching the humming birds on the feeders.

All sound like good tips. How far are these places? Will have a 1 year old abd a 4 year old in tow so dont want too far

My personal favourite day off is either staying at my Disney resort all day at the pool and talking a long exploratory walk, or doing some water sports on Bay Lake. The kids went parasailing last year and had a blast. I think yours are too young for that of course though but for older kids it's a great day off. Last year we got a large credit for having no fridge in our room at POR so that paid for the parasailing which made it even better :)

Have you been to Celebration? Not too far to travel, and is lovely there to just wander around for a couple of hours. They have a water spray fountain thing for the kids so you could take a towel. You can sit in a rocking chair by the lake, and spot turtles and baby gators! There is a nice ice cream parlour, and a couple of good restaurants. We like the Market Street Cafe; portions are huge!!
Also on a Sunday they have a little Market which is ok xx

Just looked on their website and there is the Annual Porch and Yard Sale on 4th Oct for anyone out there then!

Good tip been once before, minus kiddies, had a lovely feel to the place. Nice place exape the hustle an bustle!

Last year i went to the chocolate kingdom near old town kissimmee.

Its a small independent chocolate shop and they do a tour, they were really friendly and we had a great time.

Don't expect charlie and the chocolate factory or anything :)

They use old school machines to make all the chocolate so its very small scale.

if you book online I think it comes to around $18.

We just walked in on the day for the first tour of the morning and we had a $1.50 off coupon per person (picked up the coupon books from walmart on way out)

http://chocolatekingdom.com

Take a look at the website.

Its not for everyone but if you go there with the knowledge they are a small independent business I think you will enjoy it.

Oh and there is a chance to have a custom chocolate bar made at the end for $5 well worth it :)

This looks fun, thanks for sharing it.

We always do all the parks (WDW, Uni, Busch) but also doa few other bits such as mini golf and at least 1 mall and 1 outlet. Last trip we did Florida Mall and Premium Outlets. Got some great bargains on Converse.
