Where can DH and I have a romantic dinner - including salad, entree, dessert, coffee and a glass of wine - for under $100 including tip. This is for a NON park day, so need suggestions for restaurants in resorts or DD.

I would do Yachtsman's Steakhouse at the Yacht club. We always get a wonderful meal there.

Or try the Kona Cafe at the Polynesian. Great food!

I'm not sure about the romance factor on a couple of these, but the price (and location) should be right!

Boatwrights, Port Orleans Riverside
Maya Grill, Coronado Springs Resort
Shutters, Caribbean Beach Resort
Olivia's, Old Key West
Spoodles, Boardwalk
Concourse Steakhouse, Contemporary
Kona Cafe, Polynesian
There's a restaurant in the Swan (the name escapes me)

Check out the menus at allearsnet.com, see what strikes you!

DH and I plan on doing a dinner at the Yachtsman and I sure don't hope we spend $100. I better go take a look at the menus to see how much everything is!!

DD22 and I go to to the Yachtsman Steakhouse on every trip. We do not have wine, but we usually split an appetizer. We both get the filet which is one of the more expensive entrees. Our bill with tip is around $95. I think that is with the 10% DVC discount though. It is always our most expensive meal of the trip.

We always go to Spoodle's also. The bill there is a bit less, but I get a Spoodle-rita or two.

Palio at the Swan would be another choice. It has been a few years since we have been there, so I am not sure of the price, but it should be ok.

Jiko at the AKL has an extensive wine list as does Califorina Grill. Just too many choices!!:p

My husband and I ate at the Yachtsman Steakhouse tonight and we each had an iced tea, split a tomato & Mozzarella salad, each had filet mignon with smashed potatoes and a dessert each. Our bill came to $102 without tip. Might be tough to do this for $100 including tip. I would suggest either you go offsite or someplace with a little less atmosphere! We also enjoy Boatwrights but would ask for a table away from the main walkway into the food court! Lynn

Kona Cafe is the bargain in very nice romantic restaurants in hotels with wait staff, a great menu and reasonable prices. It is kind of an open restaurant to the Poly Longhouse, but we were there during the Ohana character breakfast and you don't get a lot of noise or traffic.

Concourse Steakhouse is reasonably priced, but having never been there I can't vouch for the atmosphere.

Most of the nice hotel restaurants serve $7 salads. You aren't getting out of a place like that for $100 with wine tax and tip. (The Yachtsman has an $8 salad).

www.allearsnet.com for menus and pricing.

Thanks so much for reminding me that I can check prices ahead!
Here's what I've found from the suggestions, assuming a similar meal in each restaurant:
YACHTSMAN
Salad-$8
Strip Steak-$31 (least expensive steak)
Dessert-$8
Wine-$6ish
Total x2=$106 + 15%tip + tax= $128

SPOODLES
Salad - $6
Steak $25 (only one steak choice)
Dessert-$6
Wine- $6
Total x2=$86 + tip + tax= $105

KONA
Salad $5
Steak (Prime rib) $20 (add $10 for tenderloin)
Dessert - $6
Wine $6
Total x2= $72 +tip+tax = $88 (Prime rib) ($112 for tenderloin)

You're not going to get out of the YSH with salad, entree, dessert, and wine for under $100 for two.

I'd suggest the Kona Cafe or Spoodles. Both are favorites of ours. Bongo's would be another great choice :) All three will be well within your price range.

One other thing to note--the least expensive glass of wine at WDW is generally going to run you around $8. Fora moderate wine you're ooking at $12ish.

Yes - the price of wine at WDW is way up there. And at a few places the $7 glass of wine could have fit into a thimble!

If you can skip the alcohol, you could probably keep to under 100 at a lot of places mentioned.

I'd vote for Kona, tho, as it is a nice meal - then a stroll around the Poly is so nice!
