Our plane gets in ridiculously early on our first day but we won’t be going to the park that day. So I’m looking for how to fill the day. Throw your ideas at me.

We’ll definitely be spending a lot of time in DTD. Maybe going to Splitsville. We’re huge movie people so we might even have time to go see Across The Spider Verse.

The other question is do we do a Disney hotel meal that day or not. And if so, breakfast or dinner? I’m not thrilled about spending all that money on a character meal but they are so much fun and a good way to start the trip.

Just FYI, if your movie plans were for DTD, be aware that the AMC theater isn’t there any more. It was just demolished.

I wouldn’t do a character breakfast, just in case your plane is delayed.

The Garden Walk is a short walk away and seems to have a lot of entertainment options.

I see you are staying at the Westin, yes? You could eat dinner at their rooftop bar - might even be able to time it for fireworks depending on your arrival day. That would be a fun way to start if a character meal is a no-go. Otherwise depending on your arrival time you could do a brunch at the GCH or dinner at Goofy’s. I would lean toward dinner as PP said you never know what can happen with flights and travel!

We’re planning on going to the AMC in Gardenwalk. Good point about the breakfast.

Oh yeah the rooftop bar is definitely on our list. We arrive on a Saturday so highly likely that there would be fireworks which would be great for our first night.
Will you have a car?
No but we’re not opposed to Uber/Lyft/taxi.

What is a "non-park day"? LOL I joke. I take a day off in the middle of our 5 day parkhoppers to sleep in and do laundry..... If we get in early I like to stow our luggage at the hotel and go to the park until checkin.

Or go to Universal. :)
