I know there is a way to go from Cypress Pointe GV to Universal using a back road. I googled directions and got this:

. Head northwest on Treasure Cay Ln toward Cocomo Ln 0.1 mi
2. Turn right at Vinnings Way Blvd 0.2 mi
3. Turn right at S Apopka Vineland Rd 4.3 mi
7 mins
4. Turn right at W Sand Lake Rd 1.3 mi
2 mins
5. Turn left at CR-439 N/Turkey Lake Rd 2.2 mi
4 mins
6. Slight right at Vineland Rd 0.4 mi
7. Turn right at Hollywood Way 0.5 mi
3 mins
8. Continue on Celebrity Cir 0.1 mi

Does this sound right to you? I put in CPGV address and got this. Would you change it in any way?

Thanks!

They are taking you a little bit out of the way.

If Lake St. is open (they've been doing some construction lately), then the best way is to exit Cypress Point onto Vinings Way Blvd (the road you took to come to the resort) which would be a right turn from the newer Grand Villas section and a left turn from the older section and main pool area. Turn right on Lake and at the four way stop, turn left. This will put you on Turkey Lake Road/Palm Parkway. You can access both Universal and Sea World from here. For Sea World, turn right at Central Florida Parkway, and for Universal, continue north, past Sand Lake Road, until you see the entrance signs for Universal on the right.

If they are still doing construction on Lake St., you can still go this way, but you will have to take Vinings Way back to Apopka Vineland, turn left at the light, and then left again at the next light (which is Palm Parkway). Going the Lake Street way cuts out the two traffic lights, but do be careful making the left at the four way stop sign.

I asked the same question on a thread once and was told this:

Take the back exit from Cypress Pointe. Left on to Vinings Way. Turn Right on
Lake St. At the stop sign turn left. Thats Palm Parkway (it runs parallel to
I-4) which becomes Turkey Lake Road (no turn needed). About 5 miles later (about
7 stop lights if I'm counting right) on your right is the entrance to Universal
- Hollywood Way. On a light traffic day I've made it in 8 minutes. But usually
you'll miss a light or two so figure 12-15 minutes. it is a direct shot and
except for the intersection at Turkey Lake and Sand Lake Rd traffic is usually
very light on the whole route.

Not sure if this is the same thing fla4fun said, I didn't read that post.ha

Florida Parkway is a toll road, right?

How much toll?

I really don't mind I4 at all (it's better than Philly traffic anyday!) but want an alternate route that may be quicker.
