What are some of the places that offer ice cream that's not Edy's?

Not even close to an all inclusive list but:

There are two ice cream options in the France pavilion, and gelato in the Italy pavilion.

I haven't been to Ample Hills at the boardwalk yet, but I have heard good things.

Dole whips at MK, AK, and The Poly.

I've been meaning to try Ample Hills I will have to go there soon

We love Ample Hill. We are from NYC so we eat there at home and love to go when in Disney. So delicious.

Another vote for Ample Hills! I had their Baked/Unbaked flavor (vanilla ice cream w/choc chip cookie dough & crumbled choc chip cookies, too) back in May- it was soooooo good!!!

Ample Hills is the best! The ice cream shop in France is a close second. There is also Ghiradelli's in DS.

Along with the others mentioned there is also a Haagen-Dasz in Disney Springs and Auntie Gravity's in MK does soft serve.

Haagen dazs.

There is also Ghiradelli's in DS.

G doesn't make their own ice cream. They use edys (dreyers on the west coast). It's such a bummer for us bc the ice cream they use isn't safe for my son, though G's toppings are. And they won't sell me a cup of chocolate sauce to put over HD ice cream. :)

Dole whip isn't ice cream, in case the OP is as picky about specific phrases as I am. It's soft serve. Not yogurt, not ice cream. Just soft serve.

Can I "like" this post about a dozen times? I had the Baked/Unbaked in February and oh, boy, that was good stuff! :thumbsup2

They were generous with the tasting spoons, too, if you want to try some different flavors before committing. And they were doing a "flight" of 6 smaller scoops of your choice of flavors. That's way more ice cream than I should be eating, and I'm a solo; wish they'd do a 3-flavor version.

But yes, go to Ample Hills!

Ample Hills is the best ice cream I've ever tasted. I dream of the peppermint patty ice cream!

I tried several of the Ample Hills flavors and found most to be too cloyingly sweet for my liking. I loved their ginger lemon sorbet, though.

Fountain at the nearby Dolphin resort is another non-Edy's option.

I preferred L'Artisan des Glaces (France, Epcot) to either of those, though. (my #2)

And there is also a really good gelato place in Disney Springs, Vivoli il Gelato. (my #1)

Other non-Edy's options that I can think of (but haven't tried recently) -
gelato stand (Italy, Epcot)
The counter service places in China and Japan both offer prepackaged ice cream (I don't recall what's recently there, but I remember green tea and caramel-ginger in the past)
When the Christmas gingerbread displays were up at the resorts, there were some locations that sold packaged gelato in addition to the holiday cookies -- I got a fantastic gingerbread gelato at the Contemporary

In no particular order.....
L'Artisan Glace - something about sitting in Epcot's France....sipping Champagne.

Fountain - Boardwalk/Inside Dolphin. They serve food too.

Ample Hill - Boardwalk - their 'crunchy-granola' attitude blends with the texture of stuff in your ice cream (that is part of their appeal).

Vivoli il Gelato - Disney Springs. Best pistacchio gelato - ever!

Sprinkles - Disney Springs - grab a cone, but after you get cupcakes from their ATM. Yes - an ATM for cupcakes!

Ghirardelli - Disney Springs - yes, made by Edy's, but specially formulated chocolate flavors can all be topped with fabulously decadent sugarless whipped cream.

Haagen Daz - Disney Springs - known for serving '5-ingredient' product.

They do flights?!?

Someone is speaking to my soul.

I think most sit down places use the Edys. It was most places go to for our PA child. Vanilla only.
