Non-DVCers at Hilton Head?

This may be a "duhhhh" question -

We are planning to stay for a few days at Hilton Head (using our DVC points) after our DCL cruise next year. Now some friends may be going on the same cruise, and may want to stop at Hilton Head with us.

We don't know these folks so well that we'd want to share rooms with them.

Will they be able to get a room at Hilton Head on cash? Are there other hotels around for them to stay at? (we haven't been there at all yet)

We are not DVC members but wanted to stay at the same resort with friends who are DVC members. We rented the points from another friend who is a DVC member. You can rent points from someone on these boards or I think that you can also purchase days on expedia.com. Hope this helps.
