Non Disney Resturants

I'm staying offsite and plan to do a few offsite resturant and fast food. Since I will have two 18 yr olds who are always eating, I can see a lot of late night drive thru.
Some places we do not have here are:
Checkers, Sonic, Carl's Jr., Rally's, Krystal, Johnny Rockets, Church's, Chick-fil-A, Popeyes

Please anything you can tell me about any of these, which to advoid, which are good. I think we should try fast food that we do not have here (as long as we have to eat fast food)

We're not much for fast food, but...

Checkers is a burger joint. Never had one, but I do know they have tasty seasoned curly fries.

Chick-fil-a is about the only fast food we do at home. Chicken is good - I get their grilled chicken sandwich. Waffle fries also good. They have wrap sandwiches but I've never had one. They look nice in the pictures. Also sell fresh lemonade.

I've never been to any of the other places.

Here are some ideas for you.

Go to the crossroads. It is about 1/2 mile from Downtown Disney or Saratoga Springs.
There you will find a Johnny Rockets (burgers, fries and shakes). There is also a great sit down Mexican restaraunt, Chevy's. The sample appetizer platter will feed 3 people by itself and it goes for $8. Great food, great prices, and close to Diseny. I highly reccommend it!

We LOVE Checkers! Excellent fries and shakes, good burgers too!

Stay away from Krystal burgers. They are NASTY. We just had a Krystal open up here and after trying them, they are like thin sliced meatloaf on a bun. YUCK.

Popeyes is pretty good if you like spicy food and the location is good. The chicken is a lot less greasy than at the other chains IMO. Sonic has good shakes and other drinks but only so-so food. Chick-fil-a has good salads and wraps but their chicken strips are a little too salty to me. Their waffle fries are great though.

Don't waste your money at Steak n Shake, nothing great, and the prices are too high - even for burgers!

I highly recommend CiCi's Pizza, which is right around the corner from Crossroads. If you aren't familiar with it, it is AYCE buffet for 3.99, and quite yummy! You can't beat that price for salad, pizza and dessert!! It was a nice change of pace for us, since we ate 90% of our meals on property.
