Non-Disney Restaurants Claiming DDP Entitlements

One word of caution that we ran into last week at WDW. If you eat in Non-Disney own restaurants (like Earl of Sandwhich), do not trust your entitlement balance. We ate at Earl of Sandwhich last Wednesday, but the DDP entitlements were not deducted until Saturday. The night before I asked the concierge for our DDP balances and it was showing more than I thought we had, but when I tried to use them they were in fact not there. When I got the balances, I asked the CM if they should be up to date and she said "Yes" that the third party eateries are suppose to claim the entitlements immediately.
